Turbocharger broken? Poor filters could be the cause
A defective turbocharger rarely comes out of nowhere. The cause often lies in the details, for example in poor-quality air or oil filters. What many people don't know is that the turbocharger depends on a clean supply – twice over. On the one hand, the air filter ensures that no dirt enters the compressor area. The oil filter protects the sensitive bearings of the charger from even the smallest particles in the oil.
If the right filter quality is not installed here, expensive consequential damage can occur. Even the smallest impurities can damage the high-precision technology in the turbocharger. Coking, bearing damage, or even complete failure are not uncommon.
Therefore, it is important not to cut corners when replacing filters. With high-quality filters from Hengst, the turbocharger remains protected and the engine runs as intended. If you want to know more about what matters, the YouTube video in the HENGST.garage explains everything in detail.
Hengst Filtration acquires Chinese air filtration specialist CSC Tech
Hengst Filtration has taken a further step in its transformation and growth roadmap. The Münster-based company has signed an agreement to acquire the Chinese air filtration specialist CSC Tech, making it a full-service provider for the semiconductor industry.
CSC Tech manufactures fan filter units (filter-fan units) as well as HEPA and ULPA filters for the clean room production of Chinese and Taiwanese microchip manufacturers and electronics production. This ideally complements Hengst's expertise in the field of particle and harmful gas filtration as well as trace gas filtration at artemis control AG. In future, the Hengst Group will therefore offer a full range of products for cleanroom and semiconductor production.
Like Hengst China, CSC Tech is based in the Yangtze River Delta (Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui): Administration and sales are in Suzhou, a city with a population of 13 million, while production is located in Kunshan, which is part of Suzhou. Hengst also has its two Chinese locations in Kunshan and further north in Jinan (Shandong province).
