One engine, two manufacturers, and 13 liters of displacement with up to 560 hp
With the new filter insert E430H D585, we are now supplying the right OE product for Scania's new Common Base Engine 1 engine platform (CB1). The new platform is the result of a joint development project between MAN and Scania, involving a total of 120 engineers. The result is a 13-litre engine with up to 560 hp that meets the stringent requirements of the Euro 6 and future Euro 7 standards – and thus forms the basis for the new generation of trucks.
Our E430H D585 was developed specifically for use with Scania engines on this platform. Unlike the E431H, which is also new and will be used by MAN in the future, the E430H D585 is not identical in design. This prevents any confusion or cross-installation – which is exactly what we wanted to achieve. Our patented "key-lock principle" ensures that the filter insert is positioned exactly in the oil filter module and prevents the use of inferior replicas. This ensures maximum safety and consistently high filter performance. Despite its sophisticated design, installation remains simple and time-saving – a point to which we attached particular importance during development.
The E430H D585 is available now. The E431H for MAN is expected to follow in 2027. Both filter inserts were developed in Münster together with the matching oil modules and extensively tested on our in-house test bench.
